Our organization did not give much attention to HR tasks before. We were too focused on the technical aspect of the business.
We seemed to be doing fine but I noticed that the organization was little less than chaotic - there were a lot of areas needing improvement.
Deep inside I knew that business could be a lot better, that we need to do something . . .
I'm sure that Improvements will come easy only if we have “trained and disciplined people.”
At that time, the company was taking momentum and growing fast. We were faced with the concern of improving organizational structure. Then we heard of MaP Consulting through a friend consultant.
The management team agreed to contract the services of Mr. Rey Misoles. The main objective is to assist us in our job evaluation process and eventually come up with an ideal structure for our Philippine operations, including standardization of salaries and benefits.
Along the process, my co- directors and I learned lots of very useful HR tools & techniques from Rey that we eventually decided to engage him as management consultant to look into the strategic and operational functions of the HR department.
With willingness and determination to learn, we were able to streamline our HR system especially in the field of training, employee discipline and performance evaluation.
Six month of hard work went by, until one day we were pleasantly surprised that our ongoing training initiatives caught the attention of our Japan Head Office.
Our team was commended for good works, and the plans to benchmark Philippine Operations for "best practice in training" was announced by headquarters.
Today, HR is unloaded of the functions to implement "positive discipline" procedure, a dream-come- true. Our first-level supervisors are now effectively doing their “line functions” in managing their people as part of their day-to-day activity.
Aside from all these, I personally grew in the HR field of which I was not prepared during my college years. As an engineering graduate, it was a great challenge for me. With Rey's mentoring, what seemed to be an obstacle turned into a stepping stone, one which gave me the opportunity to take that big LEAP towards success!

To this end, Maximum Performance Consulting Group focuses its
efforts in helping companies realize this goal by delivering the
critical few, high-impact programs to radically improve the
supervisor’s (as well as employees') core competencies. Below
are some of the seminars and workshops conducted by MaP.
- BEST (Basics of Effective Supervision Training)
An introductory course for recently appointed supervisors/
managers and all other supervisors and managers who
wish to acquire a basic understanding of the nature and
scope of the supervisory management position and its
responsibilities so as to better prepare themselves for
developing the specific knowledge, attitudes, and skills
needed to make their efforts productive.
- CASE (Coaching Aptitude for Supervisory Effectiveness)
Leaders of today must learn to shift from a control and
command style to one of facilitating or coaching. Managers
who felt they must know where, when, what and how
employees are doing will be forced to trust and empower
their employees. Managers of today and tomorrow might
have responsibility for business results without having
direct control over the people who must achieve those
results; will have to act as coaches and train others to act
as coaches in order to empower people; and will need to
find a match between the career interests of the individual
and the needs of the business.
- WET (Workshop in Effective Teambonding)
To deal with the incredibly rapid shifts and intense
competitive pressures, many businesses, organizations,
and institutions have fundamentally restructured how things
get done. Now, teams of employees make decisions about
what to do and how to do it. Top management recognized
what workers had already sensed – that employees close
to the real workings of an enterprise have the expertise,
information, and perspective to make a difference,
especially when they work cooperatively together and pool
their resources.
- Ki - SMArt (Ki - Stress Management as an Art)
Stress is simply pressure, from whatever source, on the
human being. It is our response to the pressure that
dictates whether this stress is potentially damaging
(distress) or potentially beneficial (eustress). Health
problems are often aggravated, if not caused by stress and
bad habits. Even though everyone is able to do his or her
best some of the time, fatigue brought on by stress can
prevent a person from maintaining that condition long
enough to make a difference.
- PEN (Power of Effective Negotiation)
Negotiation takes place all the time. It plays a vital role in
your everyday business and personal life. Yet many people
view negotiation as an onerous exercise to be tolerated
rather than enjoyed. By attending this course, “How To
Negotiate Successfully,” you’ll develop the skills necessary
to help you become a successful negotiator, and at the
same time learn to enjoy the process along the way. You’ll
learn to negotiate like a pro!
- Training "On-the-Job" Trainers
Perhaps you are considering whether on-the-job training is
appropriate for employees in your organization. Maybe you
have people responsible of training others but don’t have a
plan for how it should be accomplished. Whatever their
position, this module will give them basic insights for
planning and conducting on-the-job training through the
four-step training method, a proven system as well as
some tools to assist the organization and the trainers.
- WAVE (Work Attitude and Values Enhancement)
Productivity, as many proponents of effective management
would be inclined to believe, is dependent not only on the
availability of resources and the maximum utilization of
such, but even more so on the commitment of every worker
in industry to the attainment of higher productivity, achieved
through their personal identification with the realization of
that objective. Hence, the problem of productivity should,
first and foremost, be brought down to a personal level.
Supervisory training can be viewed as a shared activity, with both
individual and common goals for its participants. Supervisors wish
to attain their own learning and performance goals. The training
professional aims at transferring a prescribed amount of
knowledge and skills. The organization that employs both the
supervisors and the trainer expects that the training will yield
improved organizational performance. In light of training as a
shared activity, Maximum Performance Consulting Group offers
“theory and experience” to develop the keystone of an organization -
the supervisor!

The "M" Factor
(Where "M" = MAN)
. . . money, materials, machine, methods, and . . . MAN!
The difference between a well-MANaged organization and one that
just bumps along is multidimensional leadership. However, a lot
of executives and well-meaning MANagers focus so much of their
time and effort on the first four, more often taking for granted the
last (do we really mean “but not the least?”).
It was never intended to be so, but when things go wrong: MAN!
There is no guarantee either, that focusing on MAN would ensure
success. Such a large and complex organism – so seemingly
easy yet so difficult to MANage.
So, how does one become effective?
More than anything else, success is a result of being prepared!
And this is the mission of MaP Consulting Group, to help
companies prepare their people to succeed. Having gone through
the motions – study, research, and actual practice – Maximum
Performance Consulting Group offers “theory and experience” to
develop the most significant factor of an organization - MAN.

Its only authority is performance."
